I can not emphasize enough that if you are looking for any type of investigative service that you must always exercise absolute caution and do not allow yourself to become easily mislead by the inexperienced and misleading claims made by countless agencies and individuals.  In other words, do not get left holding the bag.  As an example, there are many that will make false claims that they can conduct any investigative search for anyone that you might be looking for at a “flat” rate cost.  The bottom line is quite simple.  These are essentially wholesalers of public information that is gathered from old and outdated telephone directories and they will simply compile this data and package this information into a report for you at a nominal cost.  More often than not, you will find yourself no closer to finding the person that you had initially set out to locate.  The only true result is that you will find yourself out of the initial cost for their supposed claims of service.  This does not constitute a true interactive investigation and most of these services have been known to include a very small disclaimer stating that they are not a licensed investigative service provider. 

There are many others in this industry that commonly practice selling their customers requests to others in the industry without your knowledge and they do not actually perform the investigative services themselves.  This is a term that we oftentimes refer to as Wholesalers.  This office is always directly involved in our customer’s investigative matters and it is because of this that we continue to remain a leader in the investigative profession.

I would strongly encourage that you validate that any provider that you might be considering is truly licensed and experienced investigators, before contracting with them to provide you with their services.  In almost every state including the State of Connecticut, it is required that all private investigators, private detectives and any business claiming to conduct investigative services are duly licensed by their particular state with no exceptions.
